This time of the year the aroma of fresh baked Christmas Cookies can be found in many homes; the aroma at the Smiley home must rival that of a cookie factory. Janet Smiley, the wife of local 776 Trustee Rob Smiley, bakes the cookies for the Children’s Christmas Party! If you’ve been to the party or looked at some of the photos from the party you know a lot of cookies get eaten; A LOT of cookies! This year Janet made six different varieties of cookies, a total of 250 dozen cookies- If you’re doing the math that’s 3,000 cookies! During a four-day span the Smiley kitchen resembles a production line as tray after tray of cookies are laid out, baked, and cooled. Rob’s right in the kitchen with Janet helping to keep the assembly line moving! Thank you Janet for your time and effort contributing to the party!
